GRIFON MAGAZINE

Grifon magazine is the first fantasy magazine in Croatia. It is published by our own finances and sponsorship and its goal is bonding and strengthening groups of people with common interest in fantasy in Croatia and beyond. On Grifon pages you can find:

2. Articles about medieval armors, weapons, tools and old crafts
3. Urban legends of Zagreb city
4. Column about social games
5. Literature
6. Fantasy products
7. Column about social events in Croatia and other countries.

Goals of Grifon magazine are: giving insight into relevant information concerning fantasy and other subjects; promoting middle ages and “fantasy” cultures over books, movies, products and events; promoting fantasy themes and connecting groups of young people – whether they are players, collectors, fans or beginners; popularizing of role-playing games; encouraging use of English language, logic thinking and productive use of free time; educating young people about history of middle ages and revealing its secrets and mysteries.

There are over thirty members of the association active in publishing of the magazine and around twenty of other associates some of which are academic professors, professional illustrators and distinguished writers. The editors meetings take place once in two months with goals to determine new subjects, work on texts, choose illustrations and think of new ideas to improve magazine quality. The magazine is published every four months (during every season – spring, summer, autumn, winter).
