«The Order of the Silver Dragon» project: RPG jam session
The goal of this workshop/project is to provide educative and quality fun to young people living in Zagreb through spending time in our association playing different RPG games. Big percentage of today’s younger generations spends their free time and evening time out in bad company with alcohol beverages and, unfortunately, drugs. Our program is based on educative plan in form of having fun in which we try to prevent or at least reduce uninventive time wasting by young people.
Program is composed of playing specific role playing games. Most of these games are placed in imaginative and fantastic worlds made by brilliant minds such as J.R.R. Tolkien.
RPG games, besides developing creativity and providing a good time, also develop social skills. The player is required to use his imagination, talk in front of an audience and enrich their vocabulary and self esteem.
The rules of RPG games are written in different books in English language. Most of the players prefer using Croatian language, but there are those who prefer using English language. Using foreign languages improves players vocabulary and communication in real life – school or elsewhere. To program’s participants we offer numerous themed RPG games ranging from fantasy, SF, satire, paranormal etc.
